Accounting Education Teaching Materials Update

Strengthening Auditing and Reporting in the Countries of the Eastern Partnership (STAREP) is a regional program implemented by the World Bank’s Centre for Financial Reporting Reform (CFRR) during 2013 – 2018 with the international best practices and EU standards. STAREP engages with participating countries at the regional community of practices, as well as locally with wider groups of stakeholders to identify common approaches and solutions to the shared challenges, as well as facilitate collaboration with EU and relevant global peer institutions.

Accounting Education Reform is one of STAREP focus areas. The overall objective of the project is to facilitate efforts to reform and upgrade accounting education systems by focusing on the common challenges faced by universities, professional accounting bodies, chambers of auditors, and regulators.

Assignments delivered by Prima

• Gap analysis of the existing study materials and examination kits on financial reporting and taxation for necessary updates required to bring them up to date and in line with the context of STAREP Program;
• Identify proper source for an updated of Financial Reporting course materials that are up to date on International Financial Reporting Standards (2017);
• Professionally translate identified materials (study texts) and identified examinations kits in Financial Reporting from English to Azeri;
• Prepare an examination kit in Local Tax Reporting, including minimum 300 questions based on the current version of the Tax Code, existing ARPA syllabus and questions development procedure to be provided by ARPA.
