Survey research on agricultural loans and its multidimensional benefits for SMEs in Guba-Gusar regionAs 2015 was declared as the Year of Agriculture in the country by the executive order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The client, in order to bring its input in the development and modernization of agriculture in the country, initiated a series of projects in this sphere. The main objectives of the survey research were to support the client to define the main benefits which agricultural SMEs’ owners gained from received small agricultural loans; to trace the main difficulties, that are common for this practice; to evaluate the main benefits, which agricultural SMEs’ owners gained from allocated agricultural loans; to define the essential impediments for agricultural SMEs in the region to furthering their practice of benefiting efficiently from agricultural loans and to provide recommendations for developing and improvement the area of agricultural loan allocation that regional agricultural SMEs could benefit.

  • Based on information received from the client and the results of the initial field trip to the Quba-Qusar region, the survey plan was developed
  • Survey questionnaire (with the range of 110 questions) was designed and the survey population was defined
  • During 30 working days, 340 surveys were conducted
  • Analysis of incorporating conclusions was conducted and practical recommendations were drawn up.
