Survey research on the level of insurance literacy and understanding among SMEs in rural areasThe purpose of this project was, by defining the level of financial literacy of SME’s owners in rural areas and, mainly, the level of their understanding of insurance, to detect their education and training needs for providing relevant training and education programs in the future and, thus, to enhance the list of potential clients of the customer, namely, detecting financial literacy rate among SME’s owners from rural areas of the country; analyzing the current situation; providing the client with the conclusions of the survey for further application.

  • During 40 working days, preliminary site visits to 10 regions of Azerbaijan were organized and initial research at place was conducted;
  • Based on the results of organized site visits, and recommendations provided by the client the survey methodology was developed and survey population was defined;
  • Survey questionnaire with approximately 165 questions was developed;
  • Site tours to the regions were organized, and the survey of 40-76 SMEs’ owners per region were conducted;
  • The results of the survey were analyzed and the Draft report and the Final Report were drawn up and presented to the client.
